Questions, answered
Short answers to what people ask before they book.
Do you take walk-ins?
No. Scalp is by appointment, so every visit has the time it needs and there is no line to join. Book on the booking page, or call and we will find you a time.
How long does a head shave take?
A clipper head shave takes about 35 minutes and a hot towel head shave about 55. The menu shows the minutes for every service.
Can you do something about my thinning hair?
We can shave or cut it cleanly, shape your hairline and look after your scalp. We do not diagnose, and we do not offer anything for hair loss. If it has changed quickly, ask your doctor first.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
The first head shave and the scalp care visit take a deposit when you book. It holds your time and goes toward the visit. The other services take none, and the booking page shows the amount.
Can I book a particular barber?
Yes. Earnest and Jerome each have a booking link on their card and on their page.
What if my scalp is sore or irritated?
Please wait, and ask your doctor first. We do not shave over broken or irritated skin, and we would rather rebook you than make it worse.
Do you cut hair as well as shave heads?
Yes. Close crops, hairline shaping and beard shape-ups are on the menu, and your barber will cut to the length you want.
Do you work on coily and curly hair?
Yes. Both barbers cut and shave every hair type, and a head shave is the same careful work on any scalp.
What should I do after a head shave?
Moisturize, and cover your scalp in the sun. Your barber will tell you what suits your skin before you leave the chair.
Is parking easy?
Parking is behind the shop, off Pike Street. The back door opens to the waiting area.
Still have a question?
